The latest film of the acclaimed director Jan Jakub Kolski is based on several short stories of a Polish writer – Włodzimierz Odojewski, whose work was published in several countries outside of Poland. “Venice” tells the story of growing up during the war, in its proximity, but in a certain distance from the center of the action. The main characters of the story are children, who perceive reality in their distinct way and try to build a special hideaway, an imaginary “Venice”, in the cellar of an old house. “Venice” will be filmed among serene Polish landscapes and will be starring some of Poland's most spectacular actors: Agnieszka Grochowska, Magdalena Cielecka, Teresa Budzisz-Krzyżanowska. Having in mind Jan Jakub Kolski's previous work, we can expect a real feast for the eye.
